I have used, and like very much, but currently, more so use JIRA. That said, it all comes back to the needs of the organization and it's infrastructure. I would recommend, sure, but would also suggest others and ask about needs. Saving Changes...

There is no doubt, MS project is an excellent project management tool. Microsoft also included Agile related templates. There are a lot of tools, I feel MS project is the best. Saving Changes...

I think MS Project did improve a lot in the past few years. Now it is more flexible and more user friendly but I still find Primavera more suitable for Large Construction Projects. Saving Changes...

I'm in the IT field and I haven't found anything MS Project can't do. The price is hideous (at least when I want to buy a personal copy) and some people complain about the learning curve, but it gives me complete control over my projects, and that makes it well worth the cost. Saving Changes...

MS Project is a great tool, and becomes even better when embedded within SharePoint environment. Lots of room for customisation is possible, which once mastered, can blow away stakeholders (reporting, graphics, pivot tables, etc.).
Bear in mind that it requires several hours of training and practice to reach an advanced level. Saving Changes...

MS Project is the quintessential project software. There are perhaps other elite PM software, such as Oracle's Primavera P6, which have advanced features not supported by MS Project (see https://tensix.com/2013/04/primavera-p6-vs-microsoft-project/). It is a pity that the price point of MS Project is restrictively high to people and organizations who do not rely on PM software. If the price was more palatable, we would see more users and less reliance on spreadsheets. Saving Changes...
How many of you respected members currently use it? I have used it.
Is MS project flexible enough to handle all type of projects? Most, I believe.
What about its features? Robust
What about price?
So expensive that even companies do not allow everyone to have it, only those who absolutely need it.
To try it out, cheaper, if you are a student, some universities offer student versions free. Else, check if they offer a limited time (1 or 3 month) free trial version.
Would you recommend MS project to other project managers? Yes
Do you have a favorite project management tool and why?
Yes, I like IBM Lotus Notes, in which you can use an existing Project Management Database, or you can customize your own, to meet your team;s needs. Maybe price-friendly, especially if you also use or try IBM Lotus Notes email. Saving Changes...
I think Microsoft Project is still the golden standard for project management. It is the only tool that gives the real confort when planning, controlling and monitoring my projects. The biggest drawback I've found is related to the fact that Notes field is left unchanged since years and for me it would be key for reporting purposes. In addition it's not smart neither with attachments. The only way is to insert the objects in the notes...but it's an old fashioned way. Last but not least, Hyperlinks are length limited and I cannot copy and past links one my One Note pages as they're too long. Saving Changes...

I use it just when the company where I am working on use it. And I use it for personal proposes, mainly because the possibility to make some customization via programming. As other tools that belongs to Microsoft the company is very smart on creating the conditions "to use into every desktop". I have the possibility to work in companies that sells this type of tools too. In my personal opinion, what matters, is the process, not the tool. For example, I used and I am using today excel because in the same company where ms project is the standard tool lot of people use excel instead of project. Saving Changes...
