The "P" is for Projects, The M is Collaboration, The I is Determination and the 4th is Change. The other symbols are for Innovation, Teamwork, Outcomes, Growth, Vision and Community. The new branding was released at PMI Global on Sunday. PMI is focusing the next 50 years on a new vision, the change in the industry and methodology and a new audience. Saving Changes...
The new Logo is good and potrays dynamism .
But what happens to the 2019 Certificate from before October ,which carries the old logo ?
Will PMI ship the rebranded ones ?

Hi Abhishek - Certificates that were issued prior to 1 October 2019 will not be reissued with the new logo, however, you may request a new one or you may download a PDF of the certificate, with the new logo, via your PMI account.

I was surprised to see the new logo; I must have missed a communication to PMI members about how the new brand aligns with PMI members expectations. I just received an invite to a PMI chapter event that is using the old logo; lack of visual consistency in a rebranding effort can reduce the impact of rebranding reveal and creates confusion. I don’t believe a rebranding announcement was communicated at our September chapter event. Communication could be clearer on what changes are happening when and what the expectations are going forward.

Hi Sherie - As you can imagine the re-branding of an organization is a massive undertaking. The first phase of the re-branding was done over the weekend at Global Conference for the core of PMI brands. The next phase is to roll out new logos for the 300+ chapters. There were approximately 40 early chapter adopters (beta testers, if you will) who currently have the new logo while the remainder of the new chapter logos will be rolled out over the next several months. The current goal is to have those logos completed by the end of Jan 2020. Hope that helps!

I like the purple color in buttons. I heavily dislike everything else about the new site visuals because it makes it harder to read. They should have at least added a night-mode.
The previous color scheme made the site easy on the eyes. Now with this all white and with this is type of font I need to lower the brightness of the screen (with dimly) at 50% and even so sustained reading is not nice on the sight.
I don't really care about the logo, but it looks much too cheerful. It works over a white background but for darker colors it looks childish. Saving Changes...

@Luis, The brand refresh was announced on August 9th in PMInsight. From what I have seen, PMI dot’s their I’s and crosses their T’s on all projects, makings sure they practice what the body of knowledge preaches. So, I’m comfortable they had plenty of debate and feedback regarding the new brand both internally and externally.
My initial take on the new logo is its abstract nature, and as such it is likely making a statement of separation – meaning that the brand is saying “we are not the PMI of the past”. This would line up with new products they are rolling out, some of which are being discussed at the conference which are geared to provide their customers (i.e. us) with a “personalized experience centered on sustained, meaningful and relevant engagement throughout their career” (stealing a statement from a recent announcement), versus their current “transactional” approach.
I’m sure they will be discussing this with clarity during the conference.
That sounds feasible @George Freeman , however 'abstract' stuff is not really a good association with PMing. The PMI is not a startup and it's all about professionalism, not 'fun' designs that cater to a more social media approach. Saving Changes...
