In my case this is part of the Business Continuity/Recovery strategy so we were ready for this type of things. This topic was included into our transformation thru Agile that we started 3 years ago.

We can look at CoVid 19 as a wake-up call.
Our company sent the project workforce home, so I have used this time to revisit options on how a project can be made ready to re-start and taken time to explore some of the fine content for PDU's on PMI.org and ProjectManagement.com
For the projects I work on CoVid19 would not have even made the risk register as a tail event. The lesson learned for me centers around the depth of my project plans and the communication plan.
Knowing the tomorrow (figuratively) we are going back to work, has made me reflect on the status of my projects and the actions which I will take to restart and rebaseline the projects.
On the ProjectManagement.com website, Christine Chiu published "CoronaVirus: Tools for Managing a Remote Workforce" - 3/17/2020. Her article highlighted the use of social media tools to re-engage our teams.
To me her work highlights the direction we may choose to take moving forward.

Disaster management / business continuity plans need to encompass a wide variety of scenarios.

Thank you for your response Sergio... I am thinking that some of our COOP planning done prior does not adequately address the magnitude of this situation. Certainly a lesson learned..

We were in the middle of a digital transformation, which included new laptops, SharePoint migration, O365 apps training etc, so we were kind of prepared for working at home, although we had to rush things the last few weeks. Covid19 was entered in my risk register when it was not a big "threat". Now things have changed clearly.
