Hello,

I already completed all my PDU's for renewal but of course I'm still attending trainings, webinars, reading books, etc.

Do you still register the PDU's after you did your mandatory 60 PDU's for renewal? what is the benefit of doing so?... or do these extras would count for the next renewal period?

I would love to hear your opinion,

Regards!

Yes Adrian, extra PDU's over and above 60 PDU's are carried forward to the next renewal cycle.

yes, they roll over, though, only those earned in the last 12-months. It is also mentioned in the handbook. There are a few similar discussions on this topic. I'll try to find them and provide the links.

Quoted from the handbook -
"If you earn more than the required PDUs in your CCR cycle, you may apply a portion of
the PDUs to your next cycle. Only PDUs earned in the final year (12 months) of your
certification cycle can be applied to a future cycle."

Just to ensure you are clear on this, you can carry 20 PDU's with you to the next cycle provided they are from the last year of the previous cycle.

So there is an upper limit as well. Thanks Rami for highlighting.

I typically complete my PMI certifications PDU requirements in the first year of my cycle. (I do usually carry a third of the PDUs from the previous cycle.)

Even after the cycle requirements are satisfied, I continue to record all my project management learning activities in CCRS. That's because CCRS is a great repository of all my project management activities. I've used it on a few occasions to get information on the training I had previously taken.
