The company that I support is in the pre-planning stages of a software implementation. What pitfalls and/or best practices can be provided to support a well communicated and successful agile implementation? Saving Changes...

I think are different things inside your question. One thing is to implement software and other thing is to use agile approach to implement it. Then, I will assume that the company will implement software using agile approach. While agile approach can be used no matter the method/framework/life cycle if the company will use a method/framework then the first thing is to put clear, mainly to business people, the method/framework rules. For example, if the method/framework stated the use of co-located, non multi-taking teams and the person in charge of using it agree with that then is better to help everybody to understand that rule. Hello Mr. Thomas, that is a multifaceted question. There are many pitfalls and best practices. I think the answers to your question depend on how much experience your company has with software implementations in general, and how comfortable and experienced you are with agile implementations. Have previous software implementations proved to be successful and well-received? Is the proposed software implementation team already experienced in agile development? How large an effort is this? And what agile approaches are you considering? There are many factors to consider, depending on where your company stands on some of these points. I would consider what your company wants in terms of "well communicated" and who determines "successful" in this context. Feel free to "connect" with me if you would like to discuss details more privately. Saving Changes...
