Information Technology Strategy Using PMI Standards

Currently I am highly intrigued to find out, if it is possible to involve PMI into a certification of a project management software. The purpose is to review together with PMI an existing and very successful software which creates a digital environment for all internal and external stakeholders of a project.

PMI has generally been tool agnostic - what works best for one context may be the wrong fit somewhere else. There are also many estabished providers of reviews for such products - Gartner is just one which comes to mind.
