Is there a need to adopt a new word for "stakeholder"?

I was recently made aware that the word "stakeholder" is viewed as a colonialist term. Here is an article shared with me. Have you and your colleagues discussed this and come up with alternative words to use to convey the PM meaning?

Thank you Kiron!
I performed a search of the word "Indigenous" and but it unfortunately didn't return any result. I will resume discussions in those other threads.
