I sit the exam in Muscat, Oman. After passing the exam, I went on a long drive from Muscat to Dubai; I asked myself, "Golam," now that you are a certified project management professional, what was the most important lesson you learned?

My self answers are the following :

Pass the PMP Exam the primary key is Understanding Processes, Not Just Memorizing Them: The PMP exam is not about memorizing all processes from the PMBOK® Guide.
It is about understanding how these processes fit together and how they are applied in real-world projects.

How about you?

I took the test ten years ago, but I still remember the day clearly. The main advice I can offer is to take a few mock tests before sitting for the actual exam. Doing so will be crucial in learning how to carefully read the questions and identify the best possible answer. I remember that in many cases, more than one answer seemed plausible, but one was always better than the others. This takes practice and helps build self-confidence.
Hi Eduard ,

I agree. This takes practice and helps build self-confidence.

I appreciated your response

Best,

i have passed the exam in first attempt.
you need to keep one thing in the mind that the correct answers are the ones which PMI thinks correct. The answer chosen by you may be the BEST , but it is not correct.
Also you need to satisfy yourself that all other options are not correct ( with proper reasoning & understanding) . this clarity gives you PASS in PMP.

I took the PMP certification exam in 2018, where I failed spectacularly, and in 2025 I took the time necessary to prepare myself. It was a long journey where I had to concentrate 100%, make a good study plan, use the right material and do many simulations where I analyzed my performance and learned from my mistakes. The most important lesson for me was that everything is possible by aligning desire with will.
