I recently renewed my yearly subscription and wanted to access the PM BOK guide however upon download it prompts for a password and when i enter my password it says wrong password.
Seems like an authorization issues any support will be greatly appreciated
The password should be the same as your PMI.org member password. Confirm that same password works on the pmi.org site and it should be fine - if not, contact PMI Customer Care.

Kiron Bondale: Seems like there is an issue with PMI system authorization. When I open the guides through Acrobat, they open without requesting password, but when I open them through Bluebeam (similar to Acrobat), it says this file is password protected, and every time I enter my PMI password, it says password is incorrect.

Tayyaba Rehman: The same issue is happening with me since late last week and I did inform PMI about this. Hopefully they will fix it soon, but can't be sure. Saving Changes...

I also encountered the same issue using Bluebeam, as I use it as my primary application for .pdfs. I created my PMI account via Google but for some reason the password I use there does not give me access. When I tried to change my PMI password it circles me back to my Google account.
However, when I tried to open it with Acrobat after reading your comment I can access it with no issues.

I used Acrobat Pro to open the file and it opened without requiring a pwd. It does seem like PMI's authorization system is not working, as I clearly can sign into my PMI account no problem, yet that password does not work on the .pdf.

facing the same issue. Acrobat is indeed opening the files without requesting the password.
