Iโ€™m curious to learn about the innovative ways AI has enhanced project planning, risk management, or team collaboration in your projects.

What unexpected benefits did you observe, and what challenges did you face while implementing AI solutions?

Unexpected benefit: I was pretty surprised that prompting in my native language (Polish) was/is more effective than doing such in English... but it is inline with the recent research results, which I've actually discovered after comparing the results myself Challenges: while it would be wonderful to just get what the AI gives, I have recognised that I need to verify all outputs... it is really annoying that the correct results I usually have only after challenging the initial result.

Iโ€™ve started integrating AI to speed up planning and risk visibility, but also to handle configuration resolutions and reduce time spent on the small, frequent tasks that drain capacity, like emails, recurring communications, and routine status updates.
The biggest unexpected benefit has been clarity: AI helps summarize complex inputs so teams begin discussions with a shared understanding. The main challenge is making sure we validate everything so context isnโ€™t lost, AI accelerates the work, but the judgment still has to come from us.

Yes, Iโ€™ve slowly integrated AI into planning, risk reviews, and team coordination. The biggest benefit has been speedโ€”AI helps surface blind spots and draft options faster, so teams spend more time deciding and less time preparing. The challenge is ensuring people donโ€™t treat AI as the decision-maker. It works best when it supports judgment, not replaces it.

I believe you are using AI embeded in your actual tools and you are not aware on that. Tools for project management has AI embeded into it from more than 30 years ago.

We've implemented AI into helping clients generate insights for lessons learned that project managers capture in their projects at an organizational level. The idea is to take all of the lessons learned data that you have, synthesize it and create insights that can help drive decisions and business value.

An example of a use case for this:

Client wanted to be able to generate insights from lessons learned on projects where they were implementing software. They wanted to know what went well, what didn't go well, etc. because they were working with third parties / vendors to implement and set up this software. They wanted to get an understanding of whether or not hiring a resource to do this type of work instead would help save them $$.
