Being part of the PMI community means having access to powerful, practical resources like Disciplined Agile Delivery and its Miro boards.

Big thank you to Joshua Barnes for the course DA Essentials: An Introduction to the Disciplined Agile Knowledge Base—clear, insightful, and immediately applicable.

There is an important point behind these links that is worth making explicit.

The dab.pmi.org site provides access to the Disciplined Agile Browser, the official Disciplined Agile knowledge base.
More than a collection of practices or templates, it is a decision-support system that helps teams and organizations consciously design their Way of Working, based on context, trade-offs, and the consequences of the choices they make.

Miro boards can complement this approach well when used with intention.
Their value is not in the template itself, but in making those decisions visible, enabling structured conversations, and aligning understanding across teams and stakeholders.
They do not replace critical thinking, they help make it explicit and shareable.

When combined effectively, the Disciplined Agile knowledge base provides the framing and decision criteria, while Miro boards support collaboration and alignment in practice.

Curious to hear how others are using these resources day to day, as support for contextual decision-making or mainly as operational artifacts.

As someone who has been involved with DA for many years before the PMI acquisition, I agree 100% with you and am just sad that PMI truly squandered the great opportunity they had to enhance and evolve the toolkit when the purchased DA in 2019. Had they carried through on its vision, the process framework could have been extended to cover a number of other project domains (e.g. construction, marketing campaigns).

My favorite parts of DA have been:

- The DA Browser
- Ways of Working
- Continuous Guided Improvement
- The Ideal Value Stream (covered in the DAVSC training)
