I've used AI to summarize stakeholder feedback, draft communications, and identify recurring concerns. It helps organize information, but understanding influence, trust, and stakeholder priorities still requires human judgment.
PMs are using AI to scale stakeholder management—but not replace human judgment. Drafting personalized emails and updates Summarizing long discussions or meetings Tailoring messages for different audiences

An excellent question.
I have found AI to be particularly valuable for synthesizing stakeholder feedback, identifying communication patterns, exploring alternative engagement strategies and challenging my own assumptions. It can significantly accelerate analysis and preparation.
However, I believe the real value of AI in stakeholder management is not replacing human judgment, but improving it.
Stakeholder relationships are built on trust, credibility, empathy and context. AI can identify patterns, but it cannot fully understand organizational politics, informal influence or the subtle dynamics that shape human decisions.
Perhaps the key question is no longer which AI tools we use, but how we ensure that AI enhances, rather than replaces, the judgment required to build meaningful stakeholder relationships.
Used this way, AI becomes not just a productivity tool, but a decision support capability.
