PMI Program Management (PgMP) vs. ISO 21503

I was asking PMI Infinity and got an answer making me unhappy "Could you summarize in an excel table what is the content of ISO 21503 and what is covered/mapped where (chapter) by the PMI Program Management fifth edition?".. thats why I am turning back to the human community.

Are we perhaps forgetting to make a link between Program Management and the ISO 21503? (ISO 21503 is not named in the handbook for program management)

Has anybody made the mapping I was asking above to PMI Infinity?

Background (my view): standard compliance checks in a company for ISO 21503 could be in line with a certification from PMI. I will now have a look at PRINCE2 how their mapping looks like.

However, any comments are welcomed.

An interesting comparison.
Before building a detailed mapping, I would first distinguish three related but different perspectives: the conceptual alignment between ISO 21503 and PMI's ANSI-approved The Standard for Program Management, organizational conformity with ISO 21503, and the individual capability demonstrated through the PgMP certification.
A useful mapping could therefore compare not only topics, but also purpose, unit of application, expected organizational evidence, and the degree of alignment between the standards.
That would make it easier to distinguish where they overlap, where they complement one another, and where they address different objectives.

The background is following: in order to move an organisation into a "program management industry standard", its easier from an internal communication point of view to use standards which are evidently and explicitly connected to that standard ISO 21503. Since program management at PMI is NOT explicitly linking its content to ISO 21503, how to convince an organization to use PMI Program Management? I am glad to see the content of the PMI manual .. but others could bring up other manuals from other organization.. Idealy I received very quick a PMI approved "alignment between ISO 21503 and PMI's ANSI-approved The Standard for Program Management". If not, I will do it by myself since I have the ISO doc and PMI doc (helped by a local server / company KI since PMI Infinity dont do it, which is a pity). Any remarks/comments are welcomed.

Sounds like you need to review the work of the Global Alliance for the Project Professions (GAPPS) They have spent time building comparisons of all project management standards and mapping similarities and differences where they exist to help with integrated approach just as you are doing. You do need to enter your contact details to access their comparison tables but would be good precursor to your work and also expanded beyond PMI and ISO Our Tools | Global Alliance for the Project Professions.
