This research is being conducted as part of my doctoral education program at Capella University.
The purpose of this research is to explore how senior information technology (IT) decision makers in the U.S. financial sector evaluate blockchain technology adoption. Specifically, the study seeks to understand how factors such as scalability, flexibility, and organizational decision-making considerations influence the evaluation and potential adoption of blockchain technology within regulated financial services environments.
Participation in this research involves a single virtual interview conducted through a secure video-conferencing platform. The interview is expected to last approximately 45–60 minutes. With your permission, the interview will be audio recorded solely for transcription and analysis purposes. During the session, participants will be invited to share their professional perspectives and experiences related to evaluating or overseeing blockchain technology initiatives. Importantly, participants will not be asked to disclose proprietary, regulated, or client-identifying information.
You may be eligible to participate in this research if you are currently employed within the United States financial sector, including banking, credit unions, payment processors, insurance, asset management, or fintech organizations. In addition, eligible participants must serve in a senior IT decision-making role, such as a Chief Information Officer or equivalent executive leadership position and must have direct experience evaluating or overseeing blockchain technology initiatives. A minimum of five years of enterprise-level IT leadership experience is required to ensure informed and substantive perspectives.
Participation in this study requires a one-time time commitment of approximately 45–60 minutes for the interview session. There are no additional requirements beyond this interview.
Participation in this research is entirely voluntary. You may decline to participate or withdraw from study at any time without penalty or consequence.
