What advise would you give to those currently planning to take training and start studying in Q3/Q4 2016?

Hurry up and start training prior to Q3 2016, but analyze the possibility of waiting and start training with the new version?

Thoughts?

Rami, I don't understand.... You mean Q1 2017 or Q1 2018? Can you expand...
George, I was under the impression that it will be released early 2017 but Markus said that they postponed it till 2018.

Dear George,

I am pleased to announce that the exposure draft for the PMBOK® Guide—Sixth Edition (Standard Section) is now available at http://ed.pmi.org for your review and comment. You may also access this information on PMI’s homepage center rotation for a limited time beginning on Monday, 7 March 2016. The exposure draft period will begin on Monday, 7 March 2016 and will close at 5:00 EDT on Wednesday, 6 April 2016.

In the past, PMI shared the entire PMBOK® Guide for exposure draft review at one time. For the Sixth Edition, we will conduct the review in two stages:

· The first stage will be for the Standards section (The Standard for Project Management). This section will undergo full consensus review. In a full-consensus review, each comment is evaluated by a committee of PMI volunteers who respond to each comment individually. If the person who submitted the comment doesn’t agree with their decision, they may file an appeal. This stage will end on 6 April 2016.

· The second stage will include the Guide section (the introductory and general knowledge area sections), which will undergo limited consensus review, which means the committee will review all comments to ensure we are reflecting good practices used on most projects most of the time. The committee, however, will not provide a formal response, nor will these comments be eligible for appeal. The dates for this stage are not yet scheduled.

Please let me know if you have any additional questions.

Your commitment and support are greatly appreciated.

Warm regards, Kristin

Hi George,

now i am confused, cause this information provided by Kristin are the same available oin the exposure draft website with is shared several times here now, so nothing new about that.
And the other point is, that Kristins mail said nothing about the release dates if i havn't missed something, right?

The information i gave is nothing what i have defined by myself, it is all official information available on their websites .... sorry, but i don't get it ...
