Knowledge Transfer and Staff Transition Plan Needed

I have a staff member who has been supporting our CRM application all through development and 6 months after going live. I now need to transition him off of that role and need a template for a plan to transfer the knowledge to ther staff and mange milestones in making that happen.

Hopefully the CRM solution that you are using is a well documented with all the relevant manuals: 1- Configuration management; 2 - Administrators Guide; 3- Installation guide; 4- end user Guide etc....
A) Ask him to document (print out) all configuration parameters that applies to your installation. And highlight the areas in the configuration document.

B)Document all admin parameters - application server, client , data migration (import /export) etc...

C)Integration Document - the CRM apps with
other apps used in the organization.

D)The history of what problems were encoutered during customization and running and what solutions were found. Any person would love to share the stories. This gives
some insight into issues, which are normally not documented any where.


Before you ease him out of this job, you definitely allow the replacement to work with
this person and participate in preparing the above transition documents.
