For the past few days, I have been comparing different types of Project Management Softwares, which brings me to these questions. Is the project management software to be used for a particular project, selected based on the project requirements or activities? For some organization, are they developed in-house? Or, is it the Project Manager responsibility to fit all of the project requirements or activities into a standard software such as MS Project, Excel or Access, regardless of the project type or size? Which method is best to exploit in your project environment? If you are a Project Management Practitioner, can you please weigh in and share with me some of your experiences. Saving Changes...

Hello once again Gavin, I think you summed it all by saying "We are experts at change management, if situation change, adapt and overcome''.
When it comes to engaging with stakeholders, I want to assume that, their interest and how is met is their main focus in addition to the risk impacts, while the project manager focuses the ITTO and/or system to utilizes (within the project constraints) to meet the stakeholder's requirements as well as deliver a successful project with minimal risks.
Thanks a lot for your insight!!! Saving Changes...

Hi Korin, I read your article. It is very interesting. You made very good points, as you emphasised the idea or practice of minimal sufficiency. I believe that it's every organization goal to reduce cost while meeting production need efficiently. This also brings the idea of lean practices into play.
I want to say your first point where you talked about multiple solution points with overlapping data, would have to do with the project organization structure. Every functioning manager have their requirements and what makes the work easy for them, and team members are expected to understand this facts. Where as, if managers could adapt a much more better structure that would integrate solutions, and share common outputs that hence decision manking, the need for different types of tooling or fields and the worries about data accuracy or completeness would be reduce.
Thanks for sharing your article with me. I will take sure to follow you!!! Saving Changes...
