like Deepa said, the release is announced for Sept. the 6th in 11 languages;

for a complete overview about the changes, how they impact actual PMP aspirants and even a countdown to the release please refer to my article here:

PMBOK® Guide 6th Edition will be released on 6th of September 2017 – everything you need to know about the new PMBoK guide Edition and the related exam changes!!
Is it right to schedule the exam for Jan or Feb 2018 based on my current preparation for PMP based on PMBOK 5th edition. I am worried if this is a risk in continuing my preparation based on 5th edition as website says Q1 2018 but the exam outline change date is not known yet

I've just downloaded PMBok v6 from pmi.org, It comes with an additional Agile Practice Book. I think this is a brilliant idea to involve Agile concept in the PMBok, many thanks to Pmi.
@Vijay: I would go for v6 as there is not much difference and you can quickly identify and learn the differences. I got the exam on v4 in 2011 and then read v5 and now I'm reading v6. You can see the logic and understand why there are changes necessary which gives you a better undesanding of the methodology. This will help you in the exam as well.

Vijay -

I would not be one of the first to take the revised PMP exam. Historically, it has usually taken PMI a few months to get the pass rate and exam pool content "just right" so it might be easier than expected or much harder than expected if you take it before PMI has sufficient statistical data to support refinement.

Why not try to get it before the exam changes based on v5 content?
