Ahmed,
Show them the value and how it will benefit them and organization. Top management also looks for ROI in implementing new approaches. I will also recommend to find a Champion for PMI among the top management and have him/her talk about it's value. The leadership will pay more attention if it comes from one of their peers.
You can also contact your local Chapter and see if someone from the leadership is available to come and chat or give presentation to the management.
Good luck!

Very logical and practical. The top management should be able to understand "What is in it for them / The Organization".
Knowing about the subject and its understanding will help change their thought process and approach to PMI.

You have nothing to change. Each people in this world perform project management activities from the time they wake up to the time they go to bed. So, what you need to change? Perhaps your concern is about the amount of formality you like to use. Then work on it and adjust the degree of formality to what best fits.

Ahmed -

To clarify, is there resistance against a PMBOK-aligned approach to PM, or to PM in general? If the former, I'd spend some time understanding what their concerns are, but if the latter, you might want to position the justification based on what the key drivers or priorities are for leadership.

Also if you do an Internet search for "justifying the value of project management" you will come up with a lot of good ideas...

I agree with the comments here.
You will have to show them the value of project management.

People change when they see the need, what can they gain from an organized Project Management approach? That is what you need to show them.

Hi Mr. Sante

They are using the traditional way no standard documents for the projects as OPA. so they are not following PMI-PMP approach fully.

Making them understand the value of project management helps tremendously, even showing them examples of successful stories can help.
