Is knowledge management (KM) relevant for small IT organizations with a few employees?

Accepted that KM is relevant for large organizations? But, is there a reason why smaller IT firms should worry about KM?

One thing that comes to mind is the aid to sales pitch and marketing.
For a smaller company, does a KM arm helps in marketability to potential clients as they would still perceive this company as a small player?
