Make Your Profile Mentorship-Ready
Your Community Profile helps other PMI members understand who you are, what you know, and what kinds of mentorship conversations you welcome. Update the searchable fields in your profile editor so members can find you by shared interests, experience, credentials, and mentorship preferences.
- Open your Community Profile editor.
Sign in to the PMI community, open your profile, and choose the option to edit your profile details.
- Review the searchable profile fields.
Update the filters that may help other members find you for mentorship connections, including specialties, certifications, LinkedIn profile, and location.
- Select your mentorship preferences in Open To.
In the Open To section, check being mentored, being a mentor, or both. These choices are searchable filters in the community and make it easier for members to identify people who are open to mentoring conversations.
- Add or refresh your bio.
Use your bio to briefly share your role, background, industry, and the topics you care about. Mention whether you are hoping to learn from others, share your experience, or do both.
- Save your changes and preview your profile.
After saving, review your profile as another member might see it. Check that your searchable fields and bio clearly show your interests, credentials, and mentorship preferences.
For example:
“I’m interested in connecting with members who are navigating a transition into program management and am open to both mentoring and being mentored.”
