We assume that any professional is going to act with ethics and integrity. Project managers are no exception, particularly if they are certified. What does this mean in practice? And what does it mean practically?

Every person that applies for a certification has agreed to abide by PMI’s Code of Ethics & Professional Conduct. Those who hold a certification have also been tested on the principles and expectations it defines. While we may know what it contains, it is another thing to genuinely understand what it means.

What are the expectations of ethical practice? How easy or difficult is it to abide by these expectations in reality? And what does it mean if we feel pressured—or expected—to behave otherwise?
