Outcome Realization Plan Template and Guide

Why develop an outcome realization plan? Do it to provide the link between the realization of the benefits from a project and the outputs delivered by the project team. Our sample plan covers the final stages of a project up to the point when utilization of project outputs has become routine, and the processes are transactional. A good outcome realizatin plan ensures that the final stages of the project are managed in a satisfactory manner; the utilization of the project’s outputs are linked to the planned project outcomes; the success of the project’s outputs are assessed and corrective action performed if required; and the planned project outcomes are achieved prior to formal project closure.
