Agile CoP strategy for Knowledge Management

Our Agile CoP Knowledge Assets Team has two main areas of focus:
  • The Community Knowledge Management area looks after Knowledge Assets which span across all Agile CoP teams: webinars, experience reports, Wikis, blogs, etc.
  • The Knowledge Assets team focuses on creating a common framework and guidelines for all teams and members, across all CoP's.

Community Knowledge Management Goals

The Knowledge Assets team aims to structure the knowledge assets of the PMI Agile community of practice in ways that make it easy to find valuable information.

The primary objectives of this team are:

  • Increase the ease of finding content related to any specific topic that pertains to Agile methodology.

Knowledge Assets Goals

The Knowledge Assets team objectives are:
  • Provide all PMI volunteers with a common Knowledge Framework to manage knowledge assets. This will unify the specific, shared and global topics (knowledge areas) identified by all CoP's in the June 2012 San Diego strategic planning session.
  • Advise other teams how to structure their content such that it fits well in the overall Knowledge Framework, facilitating future improvements in knowledge management and search facilities.

Team

The team is an autonomous group of volunteers who coordinate with other teams within the community of practice, and have the freedom to choose their own way of work. While they are not expected to author all content, they provide editorial and content improvement functions to ensure member communications are properly timed, organized across teams, and of the highest possible quality.
