In a world where there are many big challenges and all sorts of grand designs, there are massive projects taking place everywhere we look. And then there is the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macau Bridge.

Located at the waters of Lingdingyang of the Pearl River Estuary, the bridge project covers a large sea crossing that links the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, Zhuhai City of Guangdong Province and the Macao Special Administrative Region. Promoted as being of significant economic importance to the region, the bridge is intended to reduce the travel time from Honk Kong to either Macau or Zhuhai from three hours to a mere 30 minutes. For goods and services that regularly make this voyage, the premise is that transportation costs will go down significantly--for those businesses that could not commit the resources to the three-hour distance, they may instead find themselves able to explore new opportunities, particularly as Hong Kong entrepreneurs explore additional opportunities in mainland China and vice versa.
