Look at the magnitude of change that is currently taking place. Based on that continuous education is a requirement for all of us.

I don't think it's fair that PMI is imposing new requirements on members who have already accomplished recertification with expiration dates in 2018 and 2019. It's like giving someone a driver's license at age 16 and then raising the legal age for driving to 18. It's punishing someone for planning ahead. Just because PM's are accustomed to dealing with scope change doesn't mean that we should have to deal with PMI changing the recertification requirements after they've already been met. And yes, I know it's a small minority who have completed recertification for 2018 or 2019; that doesn't make it any less unfair.
Thanks for share this matter, I think continuous improvement is a requirement all of the time.

I have been on projects where individuals were actually on the critical path. What does that say!

Hi @all,
I have a question.
Someone got his recertification in 02/2015 and acquired 40 PDUs until end of November 2015.
From December on he has to gather additional 20 PDUS in the next years until 01/2018.
How are the new rules applied to this case?
A) Does he still have to acquire 24 PDUs in the education area, i.e 8 PDU in each skill area ?
B) Are the rules applied proportional to the rest. So instead of acquiring 24 PDUs he has 20 (rest) / 60 (total) x 24 PDUs = 8 PDUs in the eductaion area, i.e. 2.67 PDU rounded up to 3 PDU in each skill area
C) some other rule is applied, but I have no idea which rule.
What do you think? Do you have any idea or suggestion?
Thanks for the help
Hannes
P.S.: I asked customer care the question but became no sufficient answer.

My CCR system is already updated. Great user interface. About the system, time will tell...
Ho Hum. Who cares? At every job I've ever had, the expectations for and from a project manager have been different. PMI can do whatever. The realism is that the PM needs to adapt to the expectations of the employer (or client).
that''s good interface and it''s in fact needed with this new CCR. I understand there is always need to improvise things and it could happen anywhere.
