What impact does your volunteer team have on the project management profession?

By supporting chapter strategy, governance, and member engagement, Region Mentors help elevate professional standards, expand access to global best practices, and ensure the sustainable growth of the project management ecosystem worldwide.
How does your volunteer experience benefit your day-to-day job as a project professional?
My volunteer experience enhances my day-to-day work as a project professional by strengthening my leadership, stakeholder engagement, and change management skills in a real-world, multicultural environment. It gives me broader strategic perspective, sharper communication abilities, and a deep understanding of how to align diverse teams toward shared outcomes, all of which I apply directly to my client projects and organizational initiatives.
Which M.O.R.E. principle do you apply most in your work and how does it influence your approach to delivering project success?
I apply “Manage Perceptions” the most, because it ensures that expectations, concerns, and assumptions are surfaced early and aligned throughout the project. By actively shaping how stakeholders understand progress, risks, and value, I create clarity, reduce resistance, and build sustained support, which ultimately drives smoother delivery and stronger project outcomes, and this is especially important for transformation and change projects where I develop my business.
Is there a ProjectManagement.com article or webinar you've found helpful recently?
