Virtual Team in Stages
The purpose of this template is to assist the project manager with maintaining performance of a virtual team by providing stage-specific guidance in key management areas. The tasks allow the project manager to more effectively control problems with (1) team interactions, and (2) time and task management, the two main causes of failure of virtual teams. The tasks also help maintain member trust in the team goals and ability to succeed. Best of all, the virtual team management matrix contained within is coordinated with the JPACE way of doing a project: Justify, Plan, Activate, Control, End.
