The purpose of this tool is to estimate the sprint burn rate and total project costs based on Scrum sprints. This spreadsheet uses approximate salary/hourly rates for project participants and produces cost estimates that can used in the project scoping and change request documents. The calculations can be customized to suit any organization/team's specific environment. In addition to the primary audience of project/program managers, this tool can also be used by an organization's finance team to produce more realistic project costs based on actual salary/hourly rates.

The template is divided into three spreadsheets:

1. Overview: Detailed explanation of the template and usage
2. Estimator: Calculations required for obtaining project cost estimates
3. Data: Look up data used in the estimator worksheet
