Traditional, multi-page business cases often don’t work well. They contain too much subjective information, and the relevant details are lost in the “sales pitch.” In agile, the concept of Lean Business Cases is becoming more popular, but they sometimes suffer from a perception problem among executives who are a little skeptical about agile at scale. They also assume that an organization has reached a certain level of agile practice adoption. This lightweight business case template is more in the spirit of a Lean Business Case than a traditional one, but is more likely to be accepted by leadership.
