Hi! I am enrolled in an upcoming PMP class and wondering what milestone management software is recommended as my current employer would like for me to start using one immediately. Thank you!

It really depends on what tools the company has standardized on, the level of project complexity, the degree of organizational PM maturity and many more.

Milestones are based on an underlying quality schedule, so you'd want a scheduling solution which enables detailed definition and management but enables extraction of milestones for senior stakeholder consumption.

I've had clients standardize on MS Project, Oracle Primavera, and MS Excel depending on their contexts.

Some options of Schedule Management Software that allow you to set milestones are MS Project, Planview, Asana, Smartsheet, Jira, Miro and various others.

You should also take into account the approach of the project you´re managing. For example, for cascade projects, you can use MS Project.
-For hybrid projects, a good option is Planview.
-For agile/adaptive projects, Jira is a good choice.
-If you are interested in collaboration between teams, Miro is a good option. It's a digital collaboration platform designed to facilitate remote and distributed team communication and Project Management.
