Project HEADWAY: Risk When People Don’t Want To Know
This presentation is supporting material for this video.
Risk is an essential part of project life. Managing risk is a central part of project management. In fact, research has consistently demonstrated that it is the most important part of project management. Managing risk effectively has a more significant influence on project success than almost any other activity project managers are responsible for.
Despite this truth, risk is often considered a taboo topic. There are executives, sponsors and clients that don’t want to hear about problems. They don’t want to consider what can go wrong. They don’t want to hear the possibility of negative impacts, and they aren’t prepared to see a status indicator of yellow, let alone red.
If this sounds in any way familiar, then this is a webinar that you will want to attend. We’ll explore why risk is a four-letter word and why it is important to appropriately manage risk nonetheless. Most importantly, we’ll give you strategies to manage risks effectively even when no one wants to acknowledge that they exist.
