September 16, 2015 11:00 AM EDT (UTC-4)
Platform: Adobe Connect
Capacity:
Duration: 60 min
Support: Earning PDUs | Tips For Attendees
Overview
The webinar builds on previous work that introduced the issue of workplace bullying and its impact on projects and project managers. Bullying can be as harmful in the workplace and on projects as it is in schools and other areas of society. Projects are subsets of workplaces and since project management is, for the most part, an activity that involves working very closely with others, the impact of a bully in a project is potentially lethal to project success.
The webinar’s main discussion points include the following: defining workplace bullying; identifying bullying behaviors and who get’s targeted; outlining the impacts of bullying on projects and organizations; discussing employer challenges in effectively addressing bullying; and providing coping strategies and action plans for project managers dealing with bullying behavior.
The focus is on providing real solutions for coping and openly identifying the challenges targets face when confronting bullies and the organizations where the bullying is taking place.
