Situation: You Need a Lightly Structured Way to Collaborate Virtually --- and Temporarily.

Sometimes you need to work with a group of contractors for a short time period.  Let's say its an important project, but its happening with people outside of your organization with whom you might never work again.  Huddle gives you a quick way to make that happen.

It's great for:
- brainstorming, using a whiteboard application.
- broadcast communications (using blogging tools)
- assigning and tracking tasks (via a group calendar and individual task lists)

There are lots of project management software and tools out there to help teams - on site and virtual - be more productive.

If you simply google "online project management", you will find a plethora of products. The key is to identify:

1. size of your product team

2. key features needed, like whiteboarding, file sharing, document library, IM, etc.

3. PM tools needed, like scheduling, optimizing, tracking, etc.

If that can be laid out in simple terms, that makes the job of finding a solution from within the haystack of options more palatable.

For virtual teams, I think that a close investigation of the items in #2 above is most important.
