With reference to the month of December 2021 (that is, in the 1st quarter of the year) there is an increase:
Members - 0.17%
CAPM - 2.16%
PMI-ACP- .71%
PMI-RMP - 16.77%
PMI-SP - 3.18%
PMI-PBA - 1.63%
PMP - 0.29%
PgMP - 3.41%
PfMP 2.93%
A projection for the year 2022 based on the 1st quarter led me to the following question:
- Is the PMP certification losing importance compared to the year 2021?

Thanks Kimberly. Any timeline on posting the micro-credentials stats?

Dear Kimberly,
Thanks for sharing the PMI Fact Files every month.
I might be 2,660th PMI-SP holder.

Very interesting numbers.
Google tells me that there are 195 countries in the world (also per the U.N.). So we've got 217 out of those 195 covered (I know; many of these are territories and/or however each person decides to 'name' their country, all of which is fine).
And there are 1,255,861 PMP certificates out of 687,119 total PMI members. Strange numbers ...
I love looking at these types of things. The stats themselves are always interesting to me, as well as the growth of PMI over the decades. But the sort of oddballs that stick out, like those I mention above, are also intriguing to me, in trying to figure out *how* some of these numbers may come about when at closer look they shoudn't..
Thank you for keeping us all up to date on these!!

Hi Warren -
Thanks for your feedback. Just want to clarify that one does not have to be a PMI member to hold a credential, so I hope that answers your question.
Best,
Kimberly
How many people currently hold all three, PMP, PgMP, and PfMP?

I hope if dogs ever take over the world, and they choose a king, they don't just go by size, because I bet there are some Chihuahuas with some good ideas.
