Format: Plan

The simple project plan form is used to reflect the results of the project planning process and outline the scope, work and requirements necessary to successfully deliver the project.

The simple project plan is intended to provide an easy, efficient and non-intensive way of documenting a project plan. The intention is to capture essential project plan information without being onerous, formal or overly detailed.

The template will be extremely relevant for smaller and moderate-sized projects, but has also been successfully used on larger investments. For larger projects, the project plan can be used as a summary that builds on more detailed underlying schedule, cost and effort/work flow information.

Approval of the project plan is the trigger to proceed with the work of the project. Upon approval, the core plan information (cost, effort and schedule) is baselined. Changes to the approved amounts are from that point forward subject to approval through a scope change request.

This template includes a description, instructions, and guidelines for adapting.
