Glad you asked! As mentioned in past blogs, we are looking for ways to grow and strengthen the community. Our ProjectManagement.com team is always looking for ways to grow and strengthen the community, right here right now! Our passion is helping you connect and engage with each other in more meaningful ways, by creating discussions and forums for you to ask questions, share work experiences, and learn about exciting offerings at PMI. In T-minus four days, our first Discover PMI - Ask Us Anything! Series kicks off 17 June 2019! Here, we will present short Q&A sessions with various PMI experts. The first one will be June 17 with guest Karl Best, PMI Standards Specialist, discussing “What’s Up With Standards?" Other PMI departments and experts will soon follow, and all sessions, which are non-PDU bearing, will be recorded and posted for your convenience. Which PMI department or offering would you like to learn more about? We welcome your suggestions!
PMI Talent & Technology Symposium 2019: Did you miss the 12 June 2019 Virtual Event? If so, no worries, you can now watch it on-demand! This virtual event explored the impact of rapidly changing technologies on the project management profession across industries. The modern technological landscape places growing demands on project managers to stay up-to-date on advancements, develop new skills, and adopt innovative approaches to their work. In the search for top talent for project teams, hiring managers have identified a shortage of certain skillsets amidst evolving needs. Check it out!
PMI® Global Conference 2019- 5-7 October | Philadelphia, PA, USA will be here before you know it! Register by 24 July and save $300! PMI® Global Conference is the annual event for project management professionals. And this year, there’s more reason to attend than ever. Over three days, you’ll learn, share insights and socialize with thousands of like-minded professionals from around the world. You’ll earn up to 18 PDUs to help maintain your certification. And you’ll leave with knowledge and skills you can apply straight away. But as it’s our 50th anniversary year, you’ll also be part of a celebration of modern marvels made possible by project management professionals. And you’ll be able to attend a unique session of live TED talks specially curated to inform and inspire you. Don’t miss being part of this great endeavor!
Speaking of 50th Anniversary celebrations, how serendipitous that we mark the 50th anniversary of human beings’ first steps on another celestial body? You definitely don’t want to miss Small Steps and Giant Leaps: Project Apollo – A Case Study. As we mark the 50th anniversary of human beings’ first steps on another celestial body, a new goal has been set for this nation to return astronauts to the moon within 5 years. In this webinar, we will take a retrospective look (from a Project Management point of view) at what has been characterized as mankind’s greatest achievement. Don’t miss this amazing presentation!
As always, YOU are driving force within the Community, and we cannot thank you enough! Continue posting your intriguing subject matters or questions in Project Management Central. We want to hear about them all, and help you get to where you're going today and tomorrow. Your feedback and ideas are most welcome!
Stay tuned for more to come within the next couple of months!
