We just released DA 5.4 today. The release notes are published here. Several interesting points:

  1. We published the details behind the Portfolio Management process blade. In future releases we're going to continue to publish more details like this.
  2. We published all of the goal diagrams for the process blades as we have them to date. There are several that we have not yet published, such as Sales and Finance, but about 2/3 are there now.
  3. We had originally aimed for January 15th but I allowed the schedule to slip a bit. Hopefully that won't happen again. Next release is scheduled for the last week of March, either March 24th or March 25th.

My question to you: What would you prefer we focus on for the DA 5.5 release? Should we finish the goal diagrams for the other process blades, or should we focus on documenting the details behind the diagrams we have? Depth or breadth?

Sorry - I have to answer your question with a question.

Which is more likely to end up in training classes - breadth or depth?

I'm hoping to be able to take the DAVSC class in about a month. I would prefer depth in the training, if the material would be affected by recent releases.

Probably filling out more goal diagrams to create the big picture

When will this book be made available on Amazon.ca for us Canadian folks? Would like to get my hands on it. In the meanwhile, I'm going through the digital copy.

@Wendy, best answer I have is soon. It takes awhile for things to work their way through the Amazon process.

@Scott Thanks for the follow-up! I appreciate it. I still remember one of your presentations at David Barrett's keynote PM sessions. I think you presented at the RBC building near Lakeshore back in 2017. I am a HUGE fan of DA. Keep it up!!
