Overview
Economic activities may be threatening our environmental and social resources. In the long run these effects are also threatening our economic proseperity which is unsustainable. Changes to sustainabilty can be led by qualified project managers. Three Steps to Sustainability offers methods and tools to measure the degree of sustainabilty in projects. From qualitative assessment checklists to quantitative calculations, Three Steps to Sustainability supports continuous improvements. Applying the tools will help to enhance perception by stakeholders, market position, cost situation and overall prosperity of our organizations and enterprises.This presentation is about the presenter‘s motivation for developing a sustainable toolset. It shows examples for value measures of natural and social resources and describes different approaches for assessing them. The description of the Three Steps to Sustainability is illustrated with sample assessments and calculations, so that attendees will know how to apply them in their organization right away.
