Mission Zero: A Global Sustainability Trailblazer
Overview
In 1994, global carpet tile manufacturer, Interface was inspired to rethink its purpose as a company and climb "Mount Sustainability." This journey, referred to as "Mission Zero" - Interface's promise to eliminate any negative impact the company might have on the environment by 2020 - drives product design, engagement and all of the company's global operations. In sharing our won experience, we can help others better understand what true sustainability means and how we've turned the concept into an everyday reality. Our journey to Mission Zero™ details the steps we've already taken and those that lie ahead, in the hopes that others will join this movement for meaningful change. Nadine will share lessons learned from Interface's story as well as insights for project managers who are looking to integrate principles of sustainability into their practice
