PMI Virtual Conferences

Managing any project successfully is all about Team Work combined with years of Accrued Expertise. It is an asset to have an educational background that compliments your field of expertise but "education" without "experience" is like an "arrow" without a "bow." You can never make a perfect shot with a temporary arrow unless you have a permanent bow called: "Life's Experience." Remember, you can never teach experience but you can always teach from experience.

Today was my first experience in attending a "Virtual Conference". I did attend the PMI Business Analysis Virtual Conference 2016.
Frankly speaking, it was an outstanding experience and definitely exceeded my expectations:
1- LOGIN: Despite the huge number of attendees, the Login was smooth and easy.
2- NETWORKING: Networking was great. I connected on LinkedIn with at least 15 attendees.
3- SESSIONS: Sessions were extremely informative and to the point. I actually now have a much better understanding of Business Analysis.
4- EFFORTS: PMI & XPOCAST teams did a great job. They stayed on top of things and answered inquiries promptly.
I would like to thank the PMI Team for all their efforts and for make our busy life easier by bringing that much value to table / us from home.
This is one reason I enjoy being part of this community.

@ rami Sir,
Do you feel Virtual Events will decrease the demand for in-person conferences?

The support team was very helpful and responsive as well. Kudos to all for a a fine tuned event. I've attended a few, and they've all been terrific.
@andrew
Can you let me know what kind of support did you need?
Actually we are having a national conference on 17-18-19 Nov and you inputs can help us deliver Delegate experience.

@ Ginen
My need was simple, just locating the offered Practitioner's Guide. But support was a chat window, live stream, of all users requests. There was a team of 6 or so supporting the chat area. Responses were timely. There were an array of questions, but tbh, I didn't pay much mind to other's issues.

@Ginen,
I do not believe the virtual events will decrease the demand for in-person conferences because there is nothing better than face to face human interaction.
Both have different tastes and different advantages / disadvantages. Virtual conferences give the opportunity to those who have limited time & respurces to be able to participate in conferences and benefit from the information being presented.
It really feels good.

@Ginen,
Jumping in again: I actually needed support as I noticed that under my profile, there are not information mentioned and I was not able to edit it myself for some reason. The support team took this into consideration immediately and added all my info manually.
You can see on the chat window how much busy there were, yet, they took every single question seriously and answered it.
