Well I believe that timing is key for effectiveness and success, having to do any thing timely makes a big difference.
Whatever you want to execute do it in its proper time you be more successful and efficient to achieve best result.
To illustrate further taking an example of managing people if any one from your team did something good and you want to reward or give recognition then please hurry up don't delay don't ruin the moment, it will feel more pleasure and more effective when it comes in the same time, this is also driven from same LEAN philosophy " JUST IN TIME" so we can adopt this on small activities and dealing with people as well and the results are amazing,
Now that's in the positive way how about the negative things for example someone in the team did something wrong and you need to talk to him or write up so again don't delay otherwise the effectiveness will loose strengths of course there are few exceptions for that if he is doing an activity and if he get distracted then it might turn more dangerous and could cause safety issue then you better wait until the job finish or have someone else to do it, human error tend to be more when someone preoccupied and loose focus on the process.
There is a wisdom says Do Not postpone Today's work to Tomorrow. so procrastination can bring very negative results.
This was just a brief message on how timing is important it is not about JIT details as the examples are endless.

So very true Riyadh, some days however, 24 hours is still never enough, thanks for sharing.

Good one Riyadh. I will be having my coffee Just In Time!!
Julie and Tamer , thanks for your support
Sante, oh I love that though for me coffee is welcomed any time LOL. even just before sleep!
Eduin, thanks for comment
Kathy and Rami, you made very supportive feedback thanks for your comments
You're like my father Riyadh; coffee when he wakes up (then all day) and then coffee before bed.
Andrew in maintenance we say a planner is what and how the scheduler is who and when
so you used the word of when ... when is the right time so it is representing timing.
I had a manager who always kills the right moment... Think of a child crying for a candy in your hand and you don't give it to him and you give it next day when not craving for it, even if he / she take it the effectiveness won't be the same.
This timing leads us to conflict management do you wanna jump in or withdraw/ avoid I know it could have few benefits if you are angry and better cool off then decide with better idea without anger so even here you are choosing the right timing but that cool off time should not be prolonged to the extend of ruining the case.
Sante, Thank you that's the Italian Way of Life, this cultural attitude the pace of life talking about long coffee breaks with friends and passeggiata (strolls)

Haha Sante, you don’t mean he is like your father age wise ? Just joking
Hi gentlemen, Expect that there would be some situations wherein "act it late" strategy works better. "Do nothing" is an accepted strategy in decision making. Any takers?
Ansari, that's a different situation but even with that's been said you are also using differed timing. ;)
Rami, heheheh do I look that old
