I believe that the word will drive its power from the word attached to it
now to understand this, we give a few examples to compare so produce manager in a grocery store or DUNKIN DONUT manager or Shipley Do- NUTS manager or Tim Horton's manager or McDonald's manager, of course, not like a Project manager or maintenance manager or engineering manager or General manager of the big mill there are huge variations it depends on how big the job, the tasks and the requirements to be in and handle that position.
I have found variations even among Project managers, depending on the size of the project and the technical complications handled by the qualification of the Project Manager; some projects require that the Project Manager be SME in a purely technical domain like construction, engineering, erection, installation or experienced in an upgrade of DCS and PLC system or IT to handle big server and security.
Now to compare two managers with the same title, one is highly qualified, one is not, one can achieve superb results, and one is struggling.
Do all those mentioned managers need the same management skills?

Hi Riyafh, there are core- values for managers that are industry agnostic, plus others that may be more specific and specialized. In addition to that, are the considerations of leadership qualities and their impact on the management role.
Nice post, friend.
Great post Riyadh, I agree Andrew, I also believe in this world of PC, many roles have remained the same but given such a wonderful new job title, I do believe we are driving the power from the word in certain circumstances

Job titles are more and more confusing, they are poorly used as you mention. The "Associate" at Walmart is the one that just makes it to the top, are they over or above the store manager.

Hi Riyadh!
I'm with Vincent on this one. It is quite confusing here in Brazil, as well, to know what is your "height" on the corporation based on title. I also think that, over time and experience, one can be a good manager anywhere. But to really excel, knowledge specific to the core business is key.
Thanks!
Rajesh, thanks for your comment
Andrew, You are right there are some basic skills all managers should have that but again each position has its own power
Vincent, absolutely that's exactly my point thanks for bringing Walmart example as well
Guiherme, Obregado for your feedback, so in some culture it is also required those title and means a lot for some people I am glad that you shared what's happening Brazil as well.
Julie, thanks for your feedback, I am pretty sure you have same issues in UK as well
Like we can say an express Tesco manager would be the same
Most probably we have another issue with the title of Manager, it is not regulated like Dr. Lawyer, and professional engineer yet there can be many p. engineers working under the Manager

Interesting point of view Riyadh, I will second Andrew's point of view !
Rami, thanks for your feedback I am glad that you found this esoteric thoughts interested
Guilherme, thank you for your feedback I found it interested to see what happening in Brazil as well.
