I was searching the internet to find out how many new years in the world, and it is interesting to see that many so far; I found 26, and I wanted to share this general knowledge with you and ask you if you know more, please feel free to add in the comment area.
Please, note there was no concern for the sequence presented; most of you would agree with me that at least I never heard about half of them

Dear Riyadh
Interesting the results of your research
Thanks for sharing
I had no idea there were 26 New Year's Eve around this world
Another data collection could be how many new Years celebrated on 1st Jan at different time zones.
Number 24 is called the traditional Hindu Calendar.

That's interesting, I only keep track to the holidays that my organizations have offices...basically for planning proposals. This is a good info.

An eye opener Riyadh thank you, did not think there were that many!
Luis, thanks for your feedback
Pravin, may be this is for you to do the search but hardly you can get same result because of movement as galaxies orbiting in the universe
Rami, nor do I, I used to know up to 10 because of my travel to different countries but now I see 16 more.
Mayte, well yes that's very important to track the holidays and if you are doing a project in one of those countries then you might observe the extra holiday :) thanks for your feedback
Suzi, thanks for your comment it is true with out search our knowledge is limited, I am glad that you found it useful.

Riyadh,
Some interesting information, more than I anticipated. There are so many cultures, it would just make sense that many of them have their New year, thinking of it surprising there are not many more!.
