Focus on the Enterprise Environmental Factors and Organization Process Assets for running your project.
2. What is the single largest contributing factor to project success?
Having the backing of your project sponsor
3. What is the single largest contributing factor to project failure?
Inadequate Stakeholder Engagement through Inadequate communication
I Completeluy agree with Deepesh on the three points he made. The Tip is very apt!!!

To Know,and manage to mitigate the project risk
2. What is the single largest contributing factor to project success?
Sufficiency of resources
3. What is the single largest contributing factor to project failure?
Inability to manage project risks
There are lot of factors, but the most decisive is 'Communication'
1. Work on communication
2. Manage communication
3. Gap in communication

1-Build your ability to run faster than your project stakeholders when things go wrong.
2-Be carefull to define the project objectives or anything you use to determine you and your stakeholder the project success.
3-Incorrect project objective definition and move away from project stakeholders when things go wrong.
