| Speaking at the National Governors Association Elon Musk issues stark warning about the dangers of Artificial Intelligence (AI). He urged leaders to regulate AI development before it's too late. He put this in the context that AI may very-well displace workers and disrupt or replace entire industries.

| This was a shock to most involved in the healthcare and cyber security professions. "Pacemaker device security audit finds 8,600 flaws, some potentially deadly"

Thinks of the significant regulatory specific testing that goes on in healthcare projects and initiatives. For this to be the result is frightening to say the least!

| Artificial Intelligence has been around for decades but appears to have matured to the point where we are about to see a spike in it real world applications. The market researchers at Tractica forecasts that the revenue generated from the direct and indirect application of artificial intelligence (software applications) will grow from a mere $1.3+ billion last year (2016) to a whopping $59+ billion by 2025. That equates to a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 52 percent. Another recent survey found that 54% of executives say they are investing in AI. These and other figures are why I include AI in my top ten emerging technologies that I speak and write about, monitor and report on regularly.
I guess we all know what that means. It means more AI programs and projects requiring management and oversight.

| The latest cryptocurrency data is impressive to say the least. The Total $$ (based on USD) value of all cryptocurrencies exceed the GDP of all but 84 Countries with the GDP data according to the CIA World Fact Book. That means the total value of ALL cryptocurrencies exceed the GDP of 145 countries based on that CIA World Fact Book!
WOW that is powerful. It is a subject matter that project professionals should become familiar with!
