A  recent article published by FORTUNE stated “40 percent of the world's jobs will be replaced by technology in the next 15 years.”  If you are not planning on retiring by then, you had better start looking to acquire new skills that will be in demand by 2030.

As the current state of robotics continues to rapidly advance, some of the breakthroughs are jaw-dropping to be sure.  Here is one of those jaw-dropping advancements.  It deals with a new experimental robot arm/hand that grips and sensors in the arm/hand can ‘taste’ what it touches.  Check it out!

Just what we needed another acronym!

Categories: Automation, Robotics

As if we did not have enough acronyms in our lives another has just been introduced by McKinsey.  Without further ado here it is RPA = robotic process automation.  The management consultants at McKinsey are really hot on this new concept.  In fact, they believe that RPA is a new development in business automation that holds great promise.  It that offers a projected return on investment (ROI) of between 30–200 percent—in the first year. That is a very broad range!  IF that is true, more projects will be coming our way to manage.  For addition information here is a link to an article on the topic.
