We are in a disruptive era. A new era calls for new leaders—leaders who are fast, informed and decisive. Are you one of those leaders, or do you aspire to be? June’s PM Network, with its amazing superhero cover, dives deep into the leadership transformation necessary to tackle the volatile business environment and come out ahead of your competition.
Leadership is still about integrity, passion and vision. But now it is also about delivering value to the organization by inspiring your team, quickly solving problems and securing stakeholder support. Do you know what the future holds for your industry? That’s part of being a strategic leader today.
This special section provides hints of what to do—and what not to do—to increase your leadership skills. Are you ready to be a Super Leader?
Please share your experiences in the comments. What have you done to become a leader for today? What are your recommendations for others aiming to lead?

I found that collaboration is the key. Days are almost over when PM/leader was commanding, now PM/leader has to collaborate with the team.
Great observation, Sonali! What are some other keys to leadership?
Acceptance of VUCA world, Being curious to learn new ideas, tools and techniques which in short means embracing , adapting and thriving on change. More emphasis on collaboration, shifting stakeholder engagement to higher gears Being a big picture person and advocating actively advocating the "why" behind "what we so " to align the entire team.
A T shirt with a big sized "S" is something that Project Manager of today should willingly wear and be in the air to save the world consistently.

Listening to the team and being consultative
The statement you made "inspiring your team, quickly solving problems and securing stakeholder support." really resonated with me. The majority of my time is spent doing this. Three of the many things I do to support these three: Listen to my team - their complaints, their happiness, their failure. Solving problems - half of this is just gathering all the facts and regurgitating it into clear communication and securing stakeholder support - keep them informed with regular reporting.
Project managers will save the world! And I learned something today from our PM Network readers: VUCA. It means volatility, uncertainty, complexity and ambiguity.
