Date
Innovation is the art and science of transformation, breakthrough, change and so much more. Currently, the most innovative countries in the world are: South Korea, Sweden, Singapore, Germany and Switzerland. The road to innovation is full of dead-ends, wrong turns and following wrong directions. There is plenty of advice and opinions as to the secrets to innovation. Perhaps the best advice I ever heard about fostering innovation is to give those working on creating the future the right to be wrong. Think about all the early light-bulb designs that Thomas Edison must have tried that did not work!

@ Rami I do think Japan is innovative. I personally do NOT agree with the list I referenced and I am not sure WHAT the criteria they used and how they scored the countries to create the list that was presented. A friend always said - look hard enough you will find the list that you agree with. You know there is a fair amount of truth in that. Kevin, thanks for the link and yes, I agree with you. I am also surprised Canada is not one of those 15 countries, lots of innovations here but maybe the other countries excel more, will have to look more into this.

2018 Bloomberg Innovation Index is using seven criteria like spending on research & development to rate the countries. It says countries accpeting failure as part of process are at the front. Interesting!
