Recently, new about a project that is on the very edge of emerging technologies out of the Netherlands has gained substantial attention lately. Their highly ambitious goal is to develop an un-hackable quantum internet! The work looks to leverage the unique attributes of quantum technology substantially increase cyber security, to defend against hackers that intercept, read, delete or alter the transactions and data flowing that flows across the Internet each and every second. Those are lofty goals and cutting-edge intentions to be sure.

The last time someone said they were un-hackable one online community had a week-end fest and showed it wasn't! The GLOBAL hacker community thinks of such claims as a challenge!!! Got to love it don't you!!!!

The unhackable can be built by the hackers themselves :-)

Are we being hacked at the moment, and slowly waking up from a dream?

@ Sante there is a very small percentage of all types of connected systems that has not been compromised - all are vulnerable. If you haven't been compromised either you did not look hard enough or we don't know about the vulnerability/exploit. It is just a matter of time. With multiple new pieces of malware being introduced. it is impossible to keep up :-(
As long as people design systems, other people will be able to design ways to circumvent or use those systems in unintended ways. This is why a truly "un-hackable" system will remain a pipe dream. That said, I admire the concept of a system that is reasonably safe against casual or easy snooping.
UN-anything is a static status that you can pursue but never reach.
Think resilience is a better and more realistic target, it changes with the threat (is adaptive), has redundancies, modularity, heterogenity, shows prudence and is embedded in the environment (according to Martin Reeves).
